MARY OLAJIDE

Evangelist Mary Abosede Olajide is the founder and CEO of Mary's Place Orphanage.

She is a minister of the gospel and has always had a passion for children, particularly, the girl child.

Born in Ibadan, but of Ilesha origin, she has spent time as a primary school teacher, cementing her love and affection for kids.

After this, she spent almost the next three decades living in Canada as a food management consultant, and as a social service worker and facilitator for many years in Canada.

Her contribution to Canadian life and society as a social service worker received official recognition from the Government of Canada when she was awarded the Christine Wilson Outstanding Housing Community Worker for 2010 in the Waterloo Region of Ontario.

Always ready with a smile, she is a bubbly, amiable and hard-working woman of purpose and destiny, and is staunch in her faith in God.

The love and meticulous detailing she applies to her work and goals stand her out among friends and equals.

It is the same strength of character and commitment that she now brings to helping and supporting the girls of Mary's Place.
